On the motorway through the Knonauer Amt you reach Lucerne in about an hour. For business meetings we allow time for traffic; for excursions your chauffeur can wait the whole day.
We take you to the valley stations — Kriens or Alpnachstad for Pilatus, Vitznau, Weggis or Arth-Goldau for Rigi, Engelberg for Titlis — and collect you again after your trip up the mountain.
The old town is largely car-free. We drive right up to hotels on Haldenstrasse and Schweizerhofquai; for hotels in the old town we stop at the nearest permitted point and carry your luggage the rest of the way. At the KKL and the station we meet you at a spot agreed in advance.
In February or March the Lucerne Carnival takes over the city for six days, in summer the Lucerne Festival fills the KKL, and from May to October the paddle steamers cross the lake. Hotels book up early in these weeks — we plan the drive with time to spare for traffic along the lakefront.
There, wait, back: you pay the fixed price plus the waiting time, and the return is included. Hourly waiting rate: CHF 100 (S-Class), CHF 90 (V-Class), CHF 80 (E-Class).
We drive up to the Mandarin Oriental Palace, the Hotel Schweizerhof or your hotel by the lake — and on to the Bürgenstock Resort on the other side of the lake.
On the way, Zug on its lake is a lovely stop; after Lucerne the day combines well with a boat trip or the Bürgenstock.
